Who

A lot of local groups are working on transportation & mobility issues right now. miPLAN is integrating these efforts into a definitive action plan.

What miPLAN learns from you will be combined with information from other studies in effect in Champaign, Urbana & Savoy:



The MTD has the help of many Regional Partners in reaching out to all parts of the community in the development of miPLAN. Representatives of many of these partners are part of the Mobility Implementation Plan Committee, or MIP-C, and are actively involved in Phase II of miPLAN.


  • Champaign-Urbana Regional LRTP 2025

    The mission of the Long Range Transportation Plan for the Champaign-Urbana area is to provide a safe, efficient and economical transportation system that enhances quality of life for all users.

    A community visioning process overseen by Champaign County to engage citizens, companies and organizations of the County in an open conversation about the future.

  • University Intermodal Study

    • An intermodal study being done for the University of Illinois that focuses on creating a pedestrian-friendly environment with a safe mix of transportation alternatives.

          The City of Champaign's Transportation Master Plan. It will create

          a  vision for a multi-modal transportation system that helps achieve

          the City's goals of sustainable growth.

  • Urbana Bicycle Master Plan

    The City of Urbana's Bicycle Master Plan for the City which builds on the 2004 Champaign County Greenways and Trails Plan by identifying bicycle transportation improvements throughout the city.
